The East Midlands Economic Data Repository (EMEDR) brings to you the latest insights on the East Midlands economy. Our basic aim is to collate and analyse data to inform on the local economy and help support policy makers, the voluntary sector and businesses plan for the future. While we have a particular focus on Leicester and Leicestershire we provide insights across the East Midlands. The Repository is part of the Institute of Applied Economics and Social Value at Leicester Castle Business School, De Montfort University.
We aim to regularly produce:
- Data briefs setting out succinct summaries on specific issues, such as wage and sector differences across the East Midlands.
- Policy briefs setting out a more detailed view on topic questions, such as the effect coronavirus will have on employment and home working.
- Data explainers setting out how to analyse and interpret openly available data, such as the Index of Multiple Deprivation.
We also provide an open repository of economic data for the East Midlands. And provide a number of easy to use data visualization tools.
If there is any particular analysis or economic insight you would like to see then please let us know. See the contact page for more information on how to get in touch.
